This class is designed for anyone who has been curious about leatherworking but isn’t sure where to start. Participants are introduced to the tools, materials, and basic processes used in the craft. You’ll learn how leather behaves, how tools are used, and how simple projects are planned and executed.

Students will practice foundational skills such as surface preparation, stamping, basic cutting, coloring, and finishing. The emphasis is on comfort, exploration, and understanding — not speed or perfection.

Is this class right for you?
Perfect if you’ve never worked with leather before, or if you want a low-pressure introduction before committing to a specific project. No prior experience is needed.

You’ll leave with:
A completed small leather project, hands-on experience with core tools, and a clear sense of what leatherworking involves.
